General Merchandise Returns

Apparel, gift items and general books may be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase as long as they are still in new condition, are smoke free and have original tags still attached.

All refunds require the original receipt from The Panther Shop.

The refund is based on your original method of payment. If you paid with a credit card, the refund must go on the same card. Cash and check returns are refunded in cash.

All sales are final on discounted items.

Textbook Returns

What you need to know and bring to The Panther Shop:

  • You cannot return books unless you have dropped or withdrawn from the class they are used for. First step is to have an Add/Drop sheet or printed version of your schedule showing the dropped class.
  • Original receipt from The Panther Shop
  • Student ID or driver’s license
  • The refund is based on your original method of payment. If you paid with a credit card, the refund must go on the same card. Cash and check returns are refunded in cash.
  • Price tags must be on textbooks.
  • New textbooks must be in new selling condition, free from any marks or other signs of wear, and, if shrink-wrapped, the shrink-wrap must be intact. All accessory items (CDs, information card, etc.) originally included must also be returned unopened.

The textbook refund deadline is the date designated each term as the last day to drop and/or add a course as printed in the UPB Class Schedule and Student Handbook.

Books with defects from the publisher (pages missing, blank pages) can be exchanged for non-defective books at any time during the semester they were purchased.
